Venus Retrograde Workshop: Beyond Love Strife with shea in the catskills and Cory Nakasue

In March-April 2025 Venus goes through a trenchant retrograde process between Aries and Pisces. The planet of love, pleasure, beauty, fertility and connection not only traverses the sign  of its exaltation, but also the sign of its detriment. Planetary retrogrades signify a time to deepen our relationship with a particular planet and with parts of ourselves. Consistent with shea’s and Cory’s collaborative offerings, we’ll learn astrology and tarot in real time. We’ll work with Venus in your natal chart and by transit, corresponding tarot images and lore, and practice group divination.

Getting Through It Together:

For centuries, people outside the mainstream have used astrology + tarot for support during hard times. As we continue living thru ongoing pandemic, genocide, climate crises + the crumbling of our institutions, it is becoming clearer than ever that no one is coming to save us. How can we find support + community in these times?

Astrologer + movement educator/therapist Cory Nakasue + tarotist + intuition facilitator shea in the catskills are creating a container to gather, reflect, create + support each other thru eclipse + election season. In this container, Cory will guide us through the current astrological transits. Then we’ll consult the Oracle using the tarot to help us understand the current quality of time.

We’ll use what we generate together by means of tarot + astrology to spend the second half of each 2-hour session creating medicine to support ourselves during this loud + tumultuous time. Such medicine may include creative practice, liturgy, body + breath practices, spells + more. 

We hope you’ll consider joining us + a group of up to 12 others to find refuge + respite from the noise of the culture. May these gatherings help us tap into a powerful current of creativity, care, resistance + connection—together.

The first three sessions of this 6-session series will meet every two weeks; the last three sessions will meet once a week—the week before, the week of + the week after the US presidential election.
